It uses a keyless bolt carrier, a one-piece free-float M-LOK handguard, and a Monoforge upper receiver. Key Features
- Keyless Bolt Carrier – Eliminates the cam pin channel for smoother cycling and reduced carbon fouling. Why it matters: less maintenance and more reliable operation under heavy use.
- One-Piece Free-Float M-LOK Rail – Full-length top rail with M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. Why it matters: lets you mount lights, lasers, or grips exactly where you need them without losing zero.
- Monoforge Upper Receiver – Machined from a single billet of 7075-T6 aluminum. Why it matters: eliminates the seam between upper and rail for a rock-solid optics platform.
- Fully Ambidextrous Lower Controls – Includes ambi safety selector, bolt release, and magazine release. Why it matters: left-handed shooters or support-hand manipulations become instinctive.
- Magpul MOE+ Grip and PMAG – Ergonomic grip with rubber overmold and a 30-round polymer magazine. Why it matters: you get proven, shooter-ready accessories out of the box.
Who It’s For
The LWRC DI Pistol is for the traditional shooter who wants a compact, reliable AR platform without the weight or complexity of a piston system. It suits home defense, truck gun, or range use where a 10.5-inch barrel keeps maneuverability high and muzzle velocity adequate for 5.56 NATO.
Pros / Cons
- Pros: Full ambi controls, keyless BCG reduces cleaning time, free-float M-LOK rail is rock solid, Magpul furniture included, hard-coat anodizing resists wear.
- Cons: Direct impingement still runs dirtier than a piston gun; the 10.5″ barrel loses about 200 fps compared to a 16″ carbine, so longer-range accuracy drops off past 300 yards.

What is the overall length of the LWRC DI Pistol?
Overall length is approximately 26.5 inches with the standard buffer tube and no brace. Adding a brace will increase length, but the pistol remains under 30 inches collapsed.
Does the LWRC DI Pistol use standard AR-15 magazines?
Yes, it accepts all standard AR-15/M16 pattern magazines, including Magpul PMAGs, Lancer L5AWM, and GI metal mags.
Can I install a suppressor on this pistol?
Yes, the 10.5″ barrel is threaded 1/2×28 TPI. We recommend a direct-thread or QD suppressor rated for 5.56. Note that direct impingement will blow more gas back than a piston system.
Is this pistol legal to own in my state?
Laws vary by state and locality. This is a pistol with a barrel under 16 inches. Check your local regulations regarding NFA items, pistol braces, and magazine capacity limits. We ship to all 50 states, but you are responsible for compliance.
